Is it possible to spend too much time at home decor stores? If so, is it a disorder? Is there a cure?? Never mind, I don't want to be cured. I'm totally fine with being obsessed with home decor :)
Here are some of my recent finds:
1. Mirror - From Home Goods
2. Porcelain Hand Ring Holder - Pier 1
3. Candle Sticks - Home Goods
4. Faux Rug - Home Goods
5. White Rose Pillow - Marshalls (I already had it in black so I was ecstatic when I came across this one)
6. Vanity Tray - Home Goods
I originally had my heart set on this baby right here:
The Axis Mirror from Zgallerie
I saw the price tag... $$$$. Still, I wanted it so badly and I had the perfect spot for it in my mind so I raised the cash. Between real estate photography and the bits of money that I raised from makeup sales (selling my backups), I managed to save up every single penny. I took the Mr. with me to Zgallerie and showed him the mirror and, ofcourse, it was still absolutely stunning in person! We went home empty handed, though - I still needed to think about it (usually not a good sign).
The next day I went to my local Home Goods and found a plethora of gorgeous mirrors for a fraction of the Zgallerie prices! Lets just say that at those prices I could have a mirror for every single room in my house.
Needless to say, the Zgallerie mirror has been put on hold until the pomegranate tree in my backyard starts growing money; which btw it hasn't even grown pomegranates yet.
This is the mirror I decided on:
I chose it because I felt it was glamorous and timeless. It's going in a corner of my living room so I didn't want it to be too busy because I already have plenty going on in the rest of the room (but we will save that for another post :).
I want the mirror to replace the starburst one that is currently there, which I purchased from Target ages ago.
Eventually I will hang those pictures of Nala that are sitting on the floor to the left of the chair.

As you can see, I also found a home for the little faux fur rug. I think it warms up that corner and Nala loves it! Those ottomans will not be going there permanently, just needed something to prop it up for now ;)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your support! I've had mine for a year now and I'm getting anxious lol Especially after seeing the outrageous prices at the grocery store.
DeleteBeautiful items you scored! You have a great eye! Can you please tell me where you found that big black wall frame that is leaning up against the wall? I absolutely love it and have been looking for something similar. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, the black frame was purchased by a friend at a store called Ross.
